Teresa Camino was one of the first contemporary designers to make an impact on the traditional Mexican silver scene. Inspired by Mexico’s early architectural forms and cultural iconography, Teresa designed a line of jewelry that interpreted her heritage in a modern vernacular.
Teresa supervised the production of jewelry and tabletop objects at the Spratling ranch in Taxco Viejo until 1984 when she left to continue working on her own silver designs.
Teresa’s work has been exhibited extensively in Mexico, the United States, and Europe.
Teresa died in October of 2002. Albino Gutierrez worked with Teresa most of her career. With permission from her estate, Albino continues to execute her designs
